Dr. Carol J. Scales Endowed Scholarship

Established by Dr. Carol J. Scales and criteria amended April 2026. Scholarship criteria amended as follows:Annual award with preference given to nursing major who has reached Sophomore status or who has completed more than 30 credit hours at Lander and enrolled in NURS 304 Pathophysiology, a rigorous course which serves as a critical foundation for clinical decision making and patient care. The scholarship provides support to assist with tuition and/or required textbook expenses. Selection is based on need and merit by the scholarship committee and/or designee of the Dean of College of Nursing.
