Jane Jones Service in Healthcare Scholarship

Established in 2024 by John Jones in honor of his mother, Jane Jones, RN, who was a long-time nurse and nursing supervisor at Self Regional and well known for her compassionate care, the scholarship will provide support to a deserving full time Nursing major in good academic standing. It will be selected prior to the start of their Junior year by College of Nursing. Greenwood County residents will be given first preference. In the event there is no one eligible, the recipient should come from the GLEAMNS region. Recipient should have a minimum GPA of 2.8 and selection will focus on students who are service oriented, possess a strong work ethic, and who have a passion for compassionate care at the bedside recognizing that these attributes don’t always correlate with the highest GPA.
