Makins Psychology Scholarship

Established in 2024, the scholarship will provide undergraduate student support to a deserving full time Psychology major in good academic standing. The recipient will be selected prior to the start of their sophomore year at Lander by the Dept. of Psychological Science and Human Services by review of all qualified applicants. South Carolina residents will be given first preference and financial need should influence selection with a minimum GPA of 2.75 required. Selection will focus on students who possess a strong work ethic and exhibit good character, recognizing these attributes don’t always equate to highest GPA. Recipient should continue to receive the scholarship as long as they meet the criteria.
