Greenwood Chamber of Commerce Scholarship

Established in December or 2015 by The Greenwood Chamber of commerce to celebrate it’s centennial in 1914, the Chamber’s Board of Directors created a scholarship for a full-time student, who is a Greenwood County resident attending Lander University. The Chamber launched the 110% Givers Program, whereby Chamber member businesses generously contributed an additional 10% (of their membership investment) to fund the scholarship. Area employers were wise in investing in Greenwood’s next generation of workers, thus recognizing the value of an educated workforce and the benefits to Greenwood County. Recipient must be a Greenwood County resident and registered as a full-time student, must be making satisfactory academic progress, and must complete 40 hours of community service per award (with the Chamber or with the Chamber’s designee).
