Madison and Frances Patton Breland Scholarship

Established in 1997, by Madison W. and Frances Poore Breland whose careers were dedicated to the field of education and preparing young people to be future leaders. Mrs. Breland was a 1936 Lander graduate. Scholarship is to be awarded to an elementary education major and resident of the state of South Carolina who is preparing to be a classroom teacher in a primary or middle school. The recipient(s) must have a 3.0 GPA to qualify for and to maintain the scholarship.
