Glenas D. Green Scholarship

This scholarship is open to students majoring or intended to be majors in education.

Established in February 2011 in memory of Glenas D. Green. Scholarship to be awarded to a person who is of a minority group considered to be underrepresented in the teaching profession. Person must be an incoming Freshman, from Greenwood County, who is committed to majoring in Education and must teach in Greenwood county for at least 5 years. Student must have and maintain a 3.0 or B average. Must submit two letters of recommendation and respond to an essay prompt. Student must demonstrate involvement in community service and have an expressed commitment to diversity and multicultural education.
