Mildred B. Ford Scholarship
Established in 1987 in honor of Mildred B. Ford. The scholarship is awarded to the currently enrolled black student with the highest cumulative GPA. The student must also be at least 23 years old, from Greenwood, Abbeville, Edgefield, McCormick, Saluda, or Laurens Counties, and have earned at least six credit hours at Lander University. The scholarship provides funds for books or tuition for the fall or spring semester, or half for each semester. It is expected that the student will be enrolled for at least two courses each semester during the academic year for which the scholarship is awarded.
