NC Alumni Scholarship

Alumni from the state of North Carolina established this funded scholarship to assist a student from their state. The scholarship was initiated through a Lander on the Road event scheduled for November of 2014. Philip Whitfield ’79 was the initial donor to this scholarship with a donation of $500 to ensure the scholarship was fully funded for its first year. All alumni from the state of North Carolina will be encouraged to donate to this scholarship annually. Scholarship to be awarded to a current resident of the state of North Carolina. Preference given to a student with financial need and to a child or grandchild of an alumni. The student must have a 2.5 GPA. Scholarship is renewable provided the student maintains a 2.5 GPA.
